Eligibility Requirements:
-This scholarship is for college bound high school graduates of the class of 2023
-You must go to school in the Long Beach area or in the Long Beach Unified School District
-Children of Judges or Lawyers are not eligible
-You must have at least a 3.5 GPA
Materials for Submission:
Please have the following ready for upload.
-Your academic record or transcript beginning in the 9th grade.
-Two letters from persons who are acquainted with you away from school. Letters should not be from teachers, administrators, or counselors of the school system. We have found that the most effective letters are from people in the community who have served as your mentors.
-A letter or essay, not to exceed 250 words, discussing a significant or rewarding life experience and stating your personal aspirations and goals.
-A resume summarizing your extra-curricular activities, including athletics, arts, student council,
and/or work or volunteer experience.
-Additional materials of your choice, not to exceed five (5) pages.
