Mary Thorpe earned both a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, cum laude and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development, cum laude concurrently from the University of California San Diego. Thorpe proceeded to earn her Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara School of Law. Her passion for social justice developed long before she became a Los Angeles County Deputy Public Defender in 2007. During law school she served as a research assistant for the Northern California Innocence Project, Santa Clara, and the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley, Mental Health Advocacy Project. Professor Thorpe teaches Professional Responsibility at PCU School of Law in Long Beach..

Dr. Delshadi received her doctorate degree in counseling psychology for clinical settings from OISE- University of Toronto, Canada in 1998.  She obtained a post – graduate certificate in Neuropsychology from the Fielding Institute.
She is a Licensed Clinical Neuropsychologist in the state of California since 2000 (PSY16895).  Prior to LD Neuropsychological services she worked at Crossroads Psychotherapy Group, Inc. since 2001.


Dr. Delshadi has experience working with adults and children in various settings including schools, counseling centers, hospitals and private practice. Her areas of specialty include neuropsychological testing for ages 5 and over and psychotherapy. More recently, she has been involved in various forensic evaluations. She assesses various issues including learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum, post head–trauma and dementia. In psychotherapy she works with various issues including depression, anxiety, relationship issues and health issues.
